Household chores:

A stay at home mother is all the time busy in washing, cooking, dusting, cleaning. All the house related chores, including the responsibility of children, is managed by that one mother only. Cooking three times a day, washing all the laundry for kids and husband and cleaning the house is usually a daily practice of a stay at home mother.

Responsibility of kids:

Usually when a mother is not working, she is taking up responsibility for all the kids. Working mothers usually split responsibilities of kids with husbands, especially in Asian households. But women at home are the ones who take kids to school, cook and wash for them, bring them back, help them with homework etc.

Socialising with families of family members:

This might appear an easy thing to do until one gets in. A stay at home mother has that important role to socialise with her husband’s colleagues, families and family parties. She cannot take a day off just because she is a stay at home mother. Similarly she has to be there for her kids small gatherings, the meet ups, parent teachers meetings and a lot more. Such socialising is rarely counted as a duty, but it requires a lot more effort because she has to be a good mother and is the only representative of a family.

Talking to a son can be like asking about their favourite car passing by. Take them to school and on your way back you can have a small walk in some park too. It’s the fresh time in the morning where the sun is just rising.

Once you are back, wash the dishes. You can shift dishes to later on depending on your energy level
